That summer state of mind is here! Start planning your teen’s summer with Wilderness Adventure’s Hawaii Teen Travel Program. The Wilderness Adventures Hawaii programs will leave a positive impact on your teen for years to come.

Learn more about just seven activities that are sure to make any teen travel to Hawaii with pure excitement:

Explore

Volcanoes National Park

Offering some of the most unique geological, biological, and amazing cultural landscapes of the world, Volcanoes National Park is perfect for any explorer in Hawaii. Teens get the opportunity to explore two of the world’s most active volcanoes, which include Kīlauea and Mauna Loa. Along their journey in the park, they will be exposed to stunning views, steam vents, and unique plant life. Amazing discoveries await!

Sea Kayak and Snorkel Coconut Island

This island is the infamous location for the filming of the TV show, “Gilligan’s Island”. Now a pivotal location for marine biology, teens get to explore a wonderful habitat for marine life. Beautiful coral, Hawaiian green sea turtles, and reef fish are to be seen, as teens kayak and snorkel. They’ll even get to witness a world-famous “sunken island” sandbar!

Surfing

A teen’s experience can’t get any more Hawaiian than giving a go at surfing! Hawaiian oceans are known for their big swells and legendary surf locations. So whether your teen is an expert or looking to get their feet wet, they will get to advance their surfing skills and techniques.

Canoe and Stand Up Paddle Board the Kona Coast

The Kona coast of Hawaii has calm and clear waters, ideal for canoeing and paddle boarding. Your teen has the chance to get up close and personal with spinner dolphins and Hawaiian green sea turtles.

Sea Kayak Blue Lagoon & Sacred Falls

Wailua River is considered one of Hawaii’s two most sacred places. Your teen will dive deep into nature and peaceful tranquility, as they kayak to the Sacred Falls. Or, if they take the Blue Lagoon kayak trip, they’ll take part in an adventure that includes views of Bali Hai (Makana Peak) and the sweeping “South Pacific” panorama.

Scuba Diving

Some of the best scuba views are in Hawaii. Whether they are experienced scuba divers or just getting started, teens can swim and discover underwater life at their own pace.

Manta Ray Snorkel

Another exciting camp adventure Hawaii can offer awaits off the coast of Kona! Teens can go on a sunset dive tour and snorkel with gentle manta rays. They’ll be able to swim right alongside amazing creatures, as the rays feed on microscopic plankton.

We hope you’re as excited  to enroll your teen in a Wilderness Adventure to Hawaii as we are! Based on their age and interest, they can choose the type of trip they would like to experience such as a Hawaii Service trip for high schoolers or the Hawaii Explorer program for our younger students.  Any teen adventure trip Hawaii offers is sure to be a blast!
