Missoula Outdoor Learning Adventures (MOLA) has been providing exceptional programs for students since 2000, under the guidance of founder, Porter Hammitt. In the fall of 2022, Porter passed the MOLA torch to Tom and Catherine Holland, owners and directors of Wilderness Adventures! Read more about this business transfer here.

The MOLA Team is excited to announce another summer of adventure ahead. Unlike any other summer camp in Missoula, MOLA is action-packed and dedicated to daily outdoor adventures. During their time at MOLA, campers will advance their  leadership and outdoor skills, grow their self-confidence, enhance their sense of teamwork, and deepen their appreciation for the natural world, all while making new friends and having plenty of fun!

Our campers will be split into groups based on their 2022/23 school grade. MOLA campers must be at least 5 years old and be a rising kindergartener. Our CITs (the oldest group) includes campers who have completed 9th and 10th grades.

Counselor in Training Program

Join our Counselor in Training program and learn the skills needed to become an incredible camp counselor! Help lead our young campers to become great community members – teach them team-building skills, guide them as they embrace new activities, and help them grow during their MOLA experience.

This position requires candidates who are responsible, coachable, and have enthusiasm and fun energy all day long. This program provides a great opportunity for young people to gain valuable leadership skills and start building their resume.

CITs are placed with a younger group for the whole week, working as an assistant leader.

A Day at MOLA

MOLA runs Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5:00pm. Scheduled activities happen between the hours of 9am – 4:00pm, with time allotted in the morning for drop off and flexible time after 4pm for pick-up.

Each morning, MOLA campers will meet at Silver Park (next to the baseball stadium) and then head out on their day’s adventure! The entire camp stays together for Monday activities, allowing lots of fun to bond together and have some large group activities, while the rest of the week’s activities will vary by age group (activity and location).

MOLA does provide early drop off and late pick up (7:45am-8:30am – 5:00pm-5:45pm) for an additional cost of $30 per day (or $15 per day if a camper only needs to utilize early drop off or late pick up, not both).
