Warm Memories

As the weather starts to turn cold in most places in the country (it’s been cold for weeks here in our teen adventure office in Jackson Hole), our thoughts turn to warm memories and warm environments. Our teen adventure service groups in Hawaii this past summer had tremendous success — making meaningful cultural and environmental impacts on the communities and ecosystems in need with our Hawaii Teen Service Adventure.

Our Hawaii Teen Service Adventure is a 21-day blend of teen service activities and teen adventure activities. Teen service campers Hike the Island of Hawaii (the state’s most scenic and beautiful island), Sea Kayak the tropical coast, spend time exploring active volcanoes, learn to sail an ocean fearing vessel on Hawaii’s beautiful blue waters and surf the great waves that originated this fun sport. As their meaningful service component to this teen service adventure, teenage students do a blend of cultural and environmental service projects — working with local marine biologists and community service organizations to help populations and ecosystems in need.

Our Hawaii Teen Service Adventure and many other great teen service programs are offered every summer. Teen service enrollment has begun already this fall — with many teens excited to secure their teen service program for this upcoming summer. However, availability remains in many of our teen service programs, including the Hawaii Teen Service Adventure.
