Trip Overview
The White Mountains of New Hampshire are home to stunning waterfalls, relaxing swimming holes, amazing wildlife, and plenty of adventure! This 10-day program provides students the opportunity to explore both the rugged landscape of the mountains as well as the historic coast of Casco Bay, Maine. The backpacking expedition will allow students to learn backcountry skills– they will travel comfortably with a backpack, set up backcountry campsites, source and purify water, and cook over small camping stoves. Following this expedition, the group will hit the water of Casco Bay for 3 days of sea kayaking in the Atlantic Ocean! Casco Bay, located just off the coast of Portland, Maine, is spotted with islands, beaches, coves, and inlets. This beautiful sea kayaking territory is the perfect place to explore and enjoy the serenity of New England!
