We founded Wilderness Ventures 37 years ago with the desire to introduce young people to the outdoors on fun, immersive adventures into the most breathtaking settings on the planet. Today, the program has grown and flourished, providing experiential opportunities to over 19,500 students who have traveled with us to the Rocky Mountains, the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, California, Hawaii, Europe, Central and South America, Australia and the South Pacific. We hold coveted recreational permits to over 30 of the last best wilderness areas on the planet and, with over 44 different leadership- and service-oriented adventures, our catalog is bound to inspire your appetite to do something truly amazing this summer.
From the snowcapped volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest to the remote Highland villages of the Fajian interior, our adventures are a fun, authentic way to experience new activities, environments and cultures. Sea Kayak with humpback whales on the glaciated waters of Alaska; stay on a floating reed island in the southern reaches of Peru; or explore the backcountry of Yellowstone in a way that few people ever get to experience our first National Park. No matter where you go, you’ll be with a fantastic group of young people who share your same desire for fun and adventure.
