Each year, Wilderness Adventures provides financial aid opportunities through the Wilderness Adventures Foundation allowing students passionate about joining a WA program to do so without regard to a family’s financial position.

Financial Aid for Wilderness Adventures Trips

To apply for financial aid for a Wilderness Adventures program, please complete the online application selecting “Financial Aid” as your trip choice during the process. Once this application has been submitted you will receive information from our team to complete the financial aid required documents. These documents include:

1. The first page of your most recent federal tax return(s).
2. A parent statement explaining why WA will be a good fit for their child and any other circumstances that we should be aware of.
3. An essay written by the student (250 words or less) explaining why they want to go on a Wilderness Adventures trip.
4. The names and email address of two references (teachers or coaches) who know the applicant well. WA will reach out to them on the applicants behalf.
5. Financial Worksheet
6. If offered financial aid, at the end of the summer, the student will be asked to reflect upon their experience with Wilderness Adventures.

Financial Aid Timeline for Wilderness Adventures Trips

Phase 1:
January 15, 2026: All application materials must be submitted including 2 references for new students
February 1, 2026: All applicants notified of their financial aid status
February 10, 2026: Deadline to accept financial aid package

Phase 2:
March 15, 2026: All application materials must be submitted including 2 references for new students
April 1, 2026: All applicants notified of their financial aid status
April 10, 2026: Deadline to accept financial aid package

Financial Aid for MOLA, Base Camp, and Camp New Fork

Financial aid for all other WA camps and programs (including Missoula Outdoor Learning Adventure, Base Camp Jackson Hole, and Camp New Fork) will be available in early 2026.
