As Seen On All Access With Andy Garcia

Wilderness Adventures is featured nationally on All Access with Andy Garcia in a segment focused on screen-free adventures for kids and teens, experiential education, and why unplugging matters.

A National Story About Screen-Free Youth Development

In February of 2026, Wilderness Adventures was featured on All Access with Andy Garcia, a nationally distributed public television series. The segment shines light on something that has guided our programs for more than five decades: the belief that young people grow best when they are given the space to reconnect with themselves, each other, and the natural world.

Filmed in fall of 2025, the feature offers an inside look at our screen-free adventures and summer camp programs and the lasting impact they have on the young people who take part.

Where it All Began

How the Story Came Together

When our director, Tom Holland, received a call from the All Access with Andy Garcia team in the spring of 2025, he was told that they were interested in featuring Wilderness Adventures and our long-standing commitment to helping kids unplug from their devices during the summer months. After a bit of research, the Hollands were on board. They traveled to Boca Raton, Florida to film, we shared video footage of our programs from around the globe, and things really started coming together in anticipation of an exciting piece that would be aired nationally on All Access with Andy Garcia.

Why Wilderness Adventures?

All Access with Andy Garcia highlights organizations that create meaningful social impact through leadership, innovation, and community. Wilderness Adventures was selected for our commitment to experiential education and our intentional choice to remain screen-free in an increasingly digitally oriented world.

At a time when constant online connection is the norm, our programs create rare spaces where young people slow down, face challenges together, build confidence, and form real face-to-face relationships.

I’ll be honest: I was skeptical.

But after doing some homework, it became clear this was the real deal…”
