Day 1

Upon your arrival into Salt Lake City, your trip leaders will promptly greet you. As soon as everyone is gathered, we’ll make our way to our campsite in the neighboring ski town of Park City. As you gaze out at snow-covered mountains, it’s difficult not to get instantly excited for the adventure that lies ahead. Once we’ve arrived at our campsite, we’ll set up our tents, enjoy our first self-prepared meal, and play games as we get to know each other.

Day 2

After a snug night in our sleeping bags, we’ll make our way to Moab. There, we’ll explore this slick rock region that people travel from all over the world to visit. We will venture into Arches National Park, where we’ll hike to wonders such as Delicate and Landscape Arch. We’ll be astounded by these natural formations and the beautiful landscape surrounding them. If we are lucky, we will watch the sunset behind the world-famous Delicate Arch, the sun’s brilliant oranges and purples highlighting the incredible colors of the Utah desert. This is sure to be a memory none of us will ever forget! In the evening, we’ll sleep under a blanket of brilliant desert stars.

Day 3-6

We’ll spend the next four days rafting through the exciting Cataract Canyon of the Colorado River. In the hands of professional guides, we’ll learn how to maneuver rapids and work together as team. As we float through Canyonlands National Park, we’ll be amazed with all the beauty this southwest, desert environment has to offer. For the first part of the journey, we will attach our multiple boats together and relax and soak up the sun while motoring through amazing stretches of deep, red desert canyons. What better way to see Canyonlands National Park than from our private waterfront view! We will be sure to stay cool splashing and playing in the water, and of course we will stop for lunch on secluded, sandy beaches. As our adventure continues, we will be hitting Class II-IV rapids throughout the day. Between rapids, we will swim, float, play games and cool off from the afternoon sun. Then, at the end of each day, we’ll pull ashore and set up camp on idyllic bank-side nooks with views of the river and far off canyons. Before each night’s river feast, there will be opportunities to hike to ancient Indian petroglyphs, scenic ridges and refreshing water holes. Each night we’ll fall asleep to the sound of the river.

Day 7

After we get off the river, we will head back to town to take showers, do laundry and prepare for our next adventure. We will also grocery shop as a group for our next meals before making our way to the incredible scenic town of Telluride.

Day 8-10

After our epic river adventure, we will head to the historic mining town of Telluride, Colorado. Nestled in the picturesque San Juan Mountains, this quaint little town will offer us three days of adventuring. With its soaring peaks, we’ll spend a day hiking its quiet and forested trails. The remaining two days will be spent rock climbing impressive granite spires. This fun activity will definitely be a highlight, as we learn and excel at our newfound belaying and climbing techniques under the careful instruction of our leaders and expert local guides. At the end of each day, we’ll retire to camp for an evening of laughing and a delicious camp dinner. With full stomachs, we’ll crawl into our sleeping bags under the western, star-filled sky.

Day 11-12

After building our rock climbing skill in Telluride, we will travel back to Moab to become canyoneers! We’ll spend a day learning the basics of the incredible sport of canyoneering – dipping into the many slick rock canyons and slotted passageways the area has to offer. Working with expert local guides, we’ll have the thrilling opportunity to explore remote, cool ravines that not even the sun can touch. The next day, we can dive a bit deeper with our skills and confidence built up from the day before. We will be sure to rappel underneath waterfalls, and dip into underground streams. As we experience these labyrinths of spectacular, sandstone corridors, the hidden waterfalls and natural waterslides we’ll discover will amaze us. This fun and safe activity is one we won’t be able to get enough of!

Day 13-14

After an unforgettable adventure deep into the slot canyons of slick rock country, we’ll journey back to Park City for our final group banquet. We’ll share laughs and memories of the last two weeks together before climbing into our tents one final time. The morning will bring our final farewell in Salt Lake City, where we’ll say goodbye and board our flights home. As your plane takes off and you stare out at the mountains, you’ll think of all the adventures you had and the new friends you’ve made.
