Why WA? WA has changed my life in so many ways. I think that every child deserves a chance to participate in a program like Wilderness Adventures. WA has helped to break me out of my shell when meeting new people and to shape me into a natural leader even outside of my trips. I have been able to travel to amazing places, meet some of the best people, and tried so many new activities that I wouldn’t be able to do at home. My trips with WA are the best part of my year by far and I always look forward to my next adventure.

Why WA? I would recommend WA to my friends because I would want them to have the same great experiences that I have had. I would want them to feel the same emotions that I did. The fear and discomfort that turns into pride and satisfaction. The feeling of accomplishment when the wind sweeps through your hair at the top of a great ridge. The joy of stepping onto land after kayaking for hours on end. The bittersweet moments of going home and saying bye for the last time to a family that weeks ago were strangers.
