Trip Overview

On this 10-day adventure, students will experience the stunning views of Oregon’s rivers and mountains. This trip is the perfect introduction to the backcountry! Students will learn backcountry skills including campsite selection and set-up, water purification, backcountry cooking, and Leave No Trace principles during their 2 expeditions. The group will spend 3 days rafting down the Deschutes river– they will learn to paddle rafts, cook delicious group meals, and sleep on the river banks under the stars. They will then head out into the Three Sisters Wilderness to spend 3 days backpacking and camping with beautiful alpine views! Students will experience the magical and lush wilderness of Oregon while building confidence, creating lifelong memories, and practicing skills that are vital for every adventurer to know!

• Whitewater Raft the Deschutes River – 3 days (overnight)
• Backpack Three Sisters – 3 days (overnight)
