Originally from Freeport, Maine, Max Maurer followed his love for skiing and biking to the mountains of Jackson, Wyoming. Max attended St. Lawrence University, graduating in with a degree in Conservation Biology. As a lifelong birder, his studies were largely inspired by ornithology and marine ecology. He spent four months studying abroad in northern India, where he conducted a study on street dogs and the history of the humane society of India. He led trips for the student Outing Club and played guitar in several bands on campus.
Max’s enthusiasm for travel and adventure has only grown in the last year, and he is thrilled to join the Wilderness Adventures team as a Trip Leader. Max is excited to share his passion for outdoor sports, and is looking forward to many fun adventures with his WA students.
