Appreciating Nature In Our Teen Adventure Programs

By Wilderness Adventures March 28, 2014

In today’s society, so much is dependent on technology that we tend to take for granted the beauty of the world around us, and what it has to offer. Not only does nature provide you with the ability to feel relaxed and rejuvenated, but it also provides you with a sense of serenity and happiness. With teen adventure camps, teens are exposed to the things that nature has to offer, including developing an appreciation for the environment, humanity, and each other.

With Wilderness Adventures teen adventure trips, we focus on the powerful connections between our teens and their experiences in the great outdoors. This connection is not only limited to the environment and nature, but also includes the cultures of the people around them, how to be a leader, and most importantly, acquiring a responsible appreciation for the natural wonders of our planet.

With our Community Service Trips, our teen explorers will participate in meaningful environmental projects like rebuilding trails in Juneau, Alaska, or performing community service on the Navajo Reservation. These trips are unique in that your teen will experience the natural environments in North America, but will earn 30-80 hours of community service while doing so.

With our Grand Earth Adventures, teens are offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform worldwide community service and cultural immersion, while exploring exciting and new locations around the world. Whether your teen wishes to work with giraffes in Kilimanjaro, or work in a Highlands Village in Fiji, there is an adventure full of amazement and wonder for all.

With all of our teen adventure programs, we take the time to teach our travelers about sustainable travel and the importance of supporting local communities and economies. By using low-impact travel, we are reducing our carbon footprint and learning to appreciate the things we take for granted…the outdoors.
